FORT WORTH -- Police are continuing to investigate a domestic disturbance that ended in the fatal shooting of a man Monday morning.
The shooting occurred shortly after 11 a.m. in the 2400 block of Emily Drive in east Fort Worth, off Meadowbrook Drive.When police arrived, they found a male victim lying in the doorway with an apparent gunshot wound. He was taken to Texas Health Fort Worth hospital where he later died form his injuries.According to homicide Sgt. Cheryl Johnson, the man's girlfriend told police that her boyfriend had assaulted her at the location, and then left the residence.The girlfriend said she shot her boyfriend after he returned and kicked in the home's front door, police said.There had been no arrests as of Tuesday morning.
