Oklahoma State roars back to overpower TCU

Oklahoma State scored 36 unanswered points after falling behind TCU 14-0 to win 36-14 Saturday in front of 57,183 at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Okla.

Wes Lunt threw for 324 yards and one touchdown and Joseph Randle rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown.

TCU's offense couldn't get much going, especially in the second half.

The Horned Frogs (5-3, 2-3 in the Big 12) took a 7-0 lead early in the game on Elisha Olabode's 11-yard interception return for a score. The Frogs led 14-0 after Trevone Boykin hit LaDarius Brown for an 19-yard scoring pass with 3:22 left in the first quarter.

But that was it for the Frogs' offense. The Cowboys (5-2, 3-1) held TCU to 169 yards in the second half and 345 total.

After making six field goals in the triple overtime loss to Texas Tech last Saturday, freshman kicker Jaden Oberkrom missed both of his field goal attempts in Stillwater. The first was a long attempt of 52 yards that was wide left.

With 1:26 left in the game, Boykin was intercepted by Daytawion Lowe who returned the ball to the Frogs' 1-yard line. The redshirt freshman quarterback injured his left knee on the play and did not return for the Frogs' final possession of the game.

Randle ran it in on the following play for the Cowboys' final touchdown. Backup Matt Brown replaced Boykin and was intercepted on the final play of the game.
