Woman slashed, beaten in southeast Fort Worth, police say

FORT WORTH _ A woman was found cut, battered and beaten Wednesday morning in an apparent aggravated assault in southeast Fort Worth, authorities said.

The woman, who suffered deep lacerations to both arms, a wound to her head and bruises, was taken by MedStar ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital, where she was treated and released.

The woman's identity was not released.

A man called police shortly before 7 a.m. Wednesday and told a dispatcher that he had found his girlfriend in the house in the 5000 block of Turner Street, a police report states.

Police were interviewing the victim and the boyfriend.

No one has been arrested.
