A Comanche man died and his 15-year-old daughter was badly hurt early Sunday evening in a collision of the motorcycle they were riding and a pickup truck on U.S. 67 near Stephenville.

Miguel Angel Licea, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene, about three miles south of Stephenville, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety. The wreck occurred at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

A 1996 Chevrolet pickup was eastbound on County Road 379 onto U.S. 67, the DPS reported.

Licea, riding a 2005 Yamaha with his daughter as his passenger, was southbound on U.S. 67, but the motorcycle collided with the driver side of the truck, the DPS said.

The girl, Heather Licea, was taken in serious condition Sunday evening to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth, the DPS reported. She was listed in serious condition Monday, a hospital spokeswoman said.

No other information was available Monday.
