Searchers early Sunday found the body of a 51-year-old boat captain who had been missing for a week after his 26-foot cabin cruiser capsized in about 38 feet of water on Eagle Mountain Lake.
The man was not identified pending notification of next of kin, according to the Tarrant Regional Water District, whose officers, joined by state game wardens, had searched for the boater 12 hours a day since Sunday.Twelve people were aboard the boat when it was apparently hit by a wave about 5 p.m. Oct. 14 near the Fort Worth Boat Club. Witnesses said the captain was seen swimming back to the cruiser after it took on water.His body was found about 1:30 a.m. Sunday just east of the boat club.
