Coppell High School football players will wear the jersey number of teammate Jacob Logan on their helmets tonight when they play at Flower Mound.

Searchers found Logan's body at 9:21 p.m. Thursday at Possum Kingdom Lake, where the 17-year-old wide receiver went missing Sunday. Logan was last seen diving off a cliff, said Judi Pierce, spokeswoman for the Brazos River Authority.

It was a difficult search. Murky waters hindered the effort, which was rejoined by a deep-water dive team Thursday.

The highly-ranked Coppell High football team will wear Logan's number and observe a moment of silence at the game, Buck Peterson, president of the school's booster club, said Friday morning.

A balloon release is being planned for next Friday when the team plays at home, he said.

Logan's death was "a very personal thing" for this teammates and coaches, but they were staying strong, he said.

Late Thursday, Coppell High football coach Joe McBride tweeted "Jacob has been found ... have peace and get sleep. Tomorrow the sun will be up and we WILL have great day!"

Logan's friends and even people from other high schools posted messages on the "Stay Strong Coppell" Facebook page. Some noted that Logan, who wore No. 21 on the football team, was discovered at 21:21 military time.

"Though here for such a short amount of time, Jacob has made a Powerful Impact on all," Martha Peters wrote. "He and his family will never be forgotten."
