Fort Worth Southwest rolls past Trimble Tech

Fort Worth Southwest quarterback Justice Adams-Jones connected for scores with three separate receivers to help defeat Fort Worth Trimble Tech 54-19 Saturday afternoon at Clark Field.

The Raiders (5-1, 3-0 in District 7-4A) took a commanding 21-0 lead after the first quarter of play. Adams-Jones found Brashad Jones for a 17-yard touchdown pass and Robbie Rhodes for an 8-yard scoring pass late in the quarter, which culminated with Willie Robinson's 28-yard touchdown run.

The Raiders finished the game with 382 total yards.

Trimble Tech (1-5, 0-3 in District 7-4A) was led by quarterback Jerrick McClain, who threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns, including two late scores to wide receiver Darien Tennon, who finished with 107 receiving yards.

Trimble Tech was able to cut the deficit thanks to those two late scores, but were outrushed 209 yards to 20. Southwest finished with 21 first downs to Trimble Tech's 8.
