Baylor struck early, with quarterback Nick Florence connecting with Terrance Williams for a 74-yard touchdown on the second play of the game. The Horned Frogs came back to tie the score with an 18-yard pass from redshirt freshman Trevone Boykin to Cam White.

In the second quarter, Boykin, in his second career start, and White capped a 75-yard, 7:42 drive with a 15-yard touchdown pass to take the lead in what would become a 49-21 victory.

The third quarter saw the Horned Frogs (5-1, 2-1 in Big 12) extend their lead to 14-points twice, but each time Florence and the Bears (3-2, 0-2) answered with touchdowns to narrow the deficit, including a 77-yard catch by Williams.

The TCU defense pressured Florence and the Baylor offense, however, picking off four interceptions and recovering two fumbles.

Boykin was 22-of-30 passing for 262 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Freshman B.J. Catalon led TCU’s running game with 79 yards, while Boykin added 64 yards and a rushing touchdown.
