A woman was found stabbed to death in a Weatherford home Thursday afternoon, according to the Parker County Sheriff's Department.

Linda Surginer Preston, 47, who also went by Linda Loggins, died from multiple stab and cut wounds to her neck, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner ruled.

Her death was ruled a homicide.

The woman's husband reported finding her after arriving home about 5 p.m. in the 1600 block of Wildwood Trail, said Deputy Danie Huffman, a sheriff's office spokeswoman.

The husband said his wife was on the living room floor, the back door was open and her vehicle was missing, she said.

Investigators are following leads in the case.
