Mark Shelton has reached a new low even for a Texas politician. (See: "Shelton says Davis corrupt," Oct. 4)

Unfortunately, the Republican Tea Party has nothing to offer except more funding cuts for education, healthcare and infrastructure. I hope voters will look at Wendy Davis' record, and it's a good one, and then consider Shelton's motive for running.

Davis has, and will, continue to represent the interests of Texans. Shelton only wants to further his own interests.

Even Republican voters can figure this one out.
