Davis, not Shelton

I've voted for two Democrats for major office in my lifetime. Wendy Davis is one of them. I followed Wendy's impressive city council career, and the Republican senator she defeated in 2008 was a water boy for Big Insurance and TXU. The choice was easy. She has not disappointed me or the politically diverse groups that have endorsed her.

Her Republican opponent this year, state Rep. Mark Shelton, uses slimy campaign tactics and owes Texans for Lawsuit Reform, whose promises of lower medical costs were false. He says he helped balance a state budget, but it's not truly balanced. He knows he and his buddies have instead used billions held in hundreds of dedicated accounts, that we have paid into in the form of extra charges for specialty license plates, fees on our electricity bill, etc., that never make it to their intended destination.

I'm voting for Wendy again. Shelton is being dishonest with us.
