There are many reasons to support Sen. Wendy Davis on issues of importance to Latina health. Davis has fought to ensure access to quality healthcare for Latinas and sought to decrease health disparities among women of color.

Here is another reason to help re-elect Davis for state Senate: She fought for the rape-kit testing bill in the Legislature. Her opponent voted against the interests of Latinas by voting against this bill.

I am tired of Republicans voting for the most extreme laws that affect our salud! Nuestra salud is a civil rights issue, and we need advocates like Wendy Davis who will champion the issues that are important to me, mi mama, mi abuelita, mis tias, mis primas, mis hermanas, mis comadres and my son, Diego, con dignidad y justicia!
