Self-centered voters

Romney was right. There are 47 percent of the citizens who file tax returns that do not pay income tax. The 47 percent who don't pay include some who cannot pay because of their poverty level. Who are they going to vote for? They will vote for the politician who is pointing his finger at the "rich," admonishing them to pay their fair share.

Why does this work? Because we are a nation of self-serving, self-centered voters who look at the election not from the perspective of what is best for America but what is best for me. Ask not what you can do for your country; ask what your country can do for you. That's Barack Obama!

We need to ask ourselves what is best for the future of this country.
