Cowboys Stadium will host the UIL football championships, the UIL announced Tuesday.
"As a premiere venue in the state, Cowboys Stadium provides our student athletes and their fans with a remarkable championship experience," UIL athletic director Mark Cousins said in a written statement.

The six-man championships will be at Shotwell Stadium in Abilene.
This year marked the third time all UIL football state championship games in all conferences were held at pre-determined locations. The UIL has determined the site for the Conference 5A football state championships since 2006.
