Fort Worth tot run over while standing in driveway
FORT WORTH -- An 18-month-old toddler was seriously injured Sunday morning when she was hit by a vehicle while she stood on a driveway, police said.
The girl, who was not identified, was taken by helicopter ambulance to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth. Her injuries were serious, but they were not considered life-threatening, authorities said.
The accident occurred about 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the 14,000 block of Polo Ranch Street in far northwest Fort Worth near the Tarrant-Wise-Denton County line.
No criminal charges are expected to be filed, police said.
Police gave no other details on the incident Sunday.
