A "person of interest" involved in a Saturday fatal crash has come forward and the car that authorities believe may have been involved in the wreck has been located, Arlington police said Sunday.

No one has been charged in the case.

Arlington traffic officers continued on Sunday to investigate the case.

Authorities did not release any details on the "person of interest" or the car.

The victim has been identified as Carlos Ortega Ramos, 37, of Arlington. Arlington police said they had not determined what Ramos was doing on Interstate 30 early Saturday.

At about 4 a.m. Saturday, the driver of an Arlington Fire Department vehicle heading westbound on Interstate 30 noticed a car in front of him swerve to avoid something in the roadway. The fire crew stopped and discovered the body of a man on the highway, Arlington police said in a news release.

The driver of the car that swerved stopped. The car had no observable damage, police said. No other vehicles were on the highway at the time.

Arlington police closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 30 between Fielder Road and Davis Drive to investigate.

Authorities believe another vehicle hit Ramos.

Based on evidence collected at the scene, investigators say they believe the vehicle involved in the fatality was a 2011-2013 Volkswagen Jetta. Anyone with information about the fatality should call the Arlington Police Department at 817-459-5600 or Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS (8477). Through Crime Stoppers, tipsters could be eligible for a reward.

This is the 15th traffic fatality in Arlington this year.
