The TCU basketball team picked up its first commitment of the 2013 class on Friday as Arlington Seguin guard Brandon Parrish verbally agreed to play for the Horned Frogs.
"I chose TCU because its a good school, has a nice campus with good academics," Parrish said. "From the basketball aspect of it there will some nice exposure because theyre going to be in the Big 12. I want to be a part of the rebuilding process at TCU and a part of coach (Trent) Johnsons legacy."
Parrish, a 6-foot-5 guard, averaged over 14 points a game, shot 39 percent from behind the arc and 71 percent from the free throw line last season as a junior for the District 7-4A champs and Class 4A area round playoff finalists.
Parrish chose TCU over offers from LSU, Marquette, Miami, Oklahoma St. and Washington among others.
"Im just glad to have all this recruiting stuff done and Im ready to go win a state championship now," Parrish said.
