A Denny's waitress was stabbed repeatedly early Tuesday while working her shift after speaking with her husband in the Irving restaurant, police said.
The 61-year-old woman, who Irving police did not identify, remained in serious condition Tuesday at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.Plice arrested her husband, Thomas Parker, 54, of Irving as he tried to leave the area.He was in the Irving City Jail on a charge of aggravated assault with serious bodily injuries.The woman was cut in the upper body, police said.The attack occurred at the Denny's on Airport Freeway near Esters Road in Irving about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.Police reported that the man and woman spoke before he pulled out a knife and stabbed her.Investigators said he attacked her without warning and a motive was unknown.After the attack, the man dropped the knife and fled, several television news reports stated.
