FORT WORTH -- A homeowner was shot twice Tuesday morning after arriving at his house to find a burglar inside, police said.
Police were questioning a "person of interest" in the case Tuesday afternoon, said Fort Worth police spokeswoman Sharron Neal.The shooting occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the 5800 block of Jennie Drive in south Fort Worth.The burglar had been inside the house gathering items when the homeowner arrived home, Neal said.The burglar fired at least five times at the homeowner, hitting him twice, and then fled the house, she said.The homeowner was able to call 911.
