North Texas saw another morning of fall-like weather Monday but the cool mornings will gradually warm-up the rest of the week.

At DFW Airport, the low Monday morning was 62. At Alliance Airport in far north Fort Worth, it dropped all the way to 55 degrees.

For the rest of the week, highs will remain in the 90s until a cool front drops temperatures back into the mid-80s on Friday.

"It's going to slowly modify through the rest of the week," said National Weather Service meteorologist Eric Martello. "We'll eventually see lows back in the 70s before the front comes through Thursday night or Friday.

The normal range for temperatures through Friday is from the upper 60s for lows to around 90 for highs, according to weather service data.

Even with another front on the way, Martello said the possibility remains that hot weather could return later this month.

"I'm not making any predictions," he said. "I'm not going to rule out another 100-degree day until we get out of September."
