A Lewisville man accused of killing his girlfriend and wounding her teenaged son has been moved from an area hospital to a jail cell, Lewisville police said Tuesday.

Nelson Manuel Flores-Carrasco, 24, was in the Denton County Jail on Tuesday with bail set at $2 million. He also is being held on a warrant from the Department of Homeland Security. Details on that warrant were not available.

The Lewisville man is expected to be charged with murder and attempted murder in the next few days in the Lewisville case, police said.

Flores-Carrasco was caught while seeking medical help for himself after Thursday night's attack at a residence in Lewisville. Police said the injuries were self-inflicted with a knife.

Police got a 911 call from a bystander about a man and a woman fighting at the residence. Officers located 39-year-old Norma Gomez and her son at the scene.

Both were transported to a hospital. Norma Gomez later died. Her son was treated at a local hospital and released shortly after the attack.
