"The federal court has turned its back on the rights of Texas voters and has chosen to side with Attorney General Eric Holder in his politically motivated actions against Texas," says Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst of an Aug. 28 ruling that rejected the state's redrawn voting districts. Gov. Rick Perry and Attorney General Greg Abbott joined in the chorus of criticism.
This federal court was composed of two appointees of President George W. Bush and one appointed by President Obama. It's ironic that politicians rail against even their own when they don't get their way.
