ARLINGTON -- Police said Thursday that they now believe that an Arlington woman who was struck and killed on Collins Street two weeks ago was first hit by a Ford vehicle that is a cross between an SUV and a pickup.
Julie Buford, 48, was pronounced dead at the scene. She was hit by multiple vehicles just after 6:30 a.m. Aug. 15, police said, but the driver of the first vehicle, believed to be a Ford Explorer Sport Trac built between 2000 and 2005, did not stop and has not been identified.The vehicle is thought to have extensive front-end damage, police said. Investigators want to speak with the driver.The accident happened in the 600 block of North Collins, at Rogers Street across from Cowboys Stadium.
