Claim to Fame: In 1935 Joe T. and Jessie Garcia and their five children opened what was to become one of the most popular restaurants in the Fort Worth-Dallas area. The family guidance continues today at not only the world-famous restaurant but also Esperanza's Bakery and Cafe as well as Esperanza's Mexican Bread Division and Joe T. Garcia's Bottled Hot Sauce Division.
