TORONTO – Michael Young had a five-RBI game for the first time in more than two years, Matt Harrison allowed two runs and two hits over eight innings and the Texas Rangers rolled to an 11-2 victory over the Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon at the Rogers Centre.

The Rangers finished their seven-game road trip by going 3-4. They will maintain at least a five-game lead in the American League West over Oakland, which plays Cleveland today.

Trailing 1-0 going into the third, the Rangers took a 2-1 lead as Geovany Soto and Mitch Moreland had consecutive RBI singles.

They added another run in the fourth on an RBI double by David Murphy, and then broke the game open with five runs in the fifth. Young had a three-run home run in the inning, his first since May 7.

Young drove in both of the Rangers’ runs in the sixth with a double to center. Murphy added a solo shot in the ninth.

Harrison won his first career game against the Blue Jays, allowing two runs on two hits with one walk and seven strikeouts over eight innings. Mark Lowe pitched the ninth.
