Man dies after being shot at Fort Worth apartment complex

FORT WORTH -- A man shot to death Wednesday at an apartment complex in southeast Fort Worth has been identified as Nicholas Crenshaw of Fort Worth, authorities said Thursday.

Crenshaw, 28, died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen and his death has been ruled a homicide, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's website.

He died at John Peter Smith Hospital.

The shooting call came in about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of Briery Drive at the Village Creek Apartments in southeast Fort Worth.

When police arrived, they found the man being treated by paramedics.

Police released no other details Thursday.
