h Cheers: To two MedStar EMTs who helped our son after he was attacked with a knife in Lake Worth on July 22. He spotted you at the RaceTrac on Jacksboro Highway, and you called the police, cleaned and dressed his wound and directed him to John Peter Smith Hospital.

-- David and Pauline Jones, Crowley

i Jeers: To the Star-Telegram for zero coverage of the "Miles for Mills" motorcycle ride on July 28, featuring 1,500-plus cyclists raising money for wounded warrior Travis Mills. They closed several Metroplex freeways for 20 to 30 minutes and had the involvement of firefighters, police and members of the community.

-- Steven Silcox, Fort Worth

h Cheers: To pharmacy staff Tran and Bill in a southeast Arlington drugstore who went out of their way on a busy Saturday to make sure I paid the lowest possible price on an otherwise expensive private-pay prescription.

-- Susan White, Arlington
