With Manny Pacquiao scheduled to fight Floyd Mayweather in the year 3421, the next best thing is Dana White's baby - the UFC. Some good people at the Cowboys Stadium said they have been in talks with the UFC about hosting a fight at JerryWorld.

This needs to happen. But because football season is just about here (if you can't fake football), the earliest we could expect is late January or February of 2013. Great. Fine.

If/when this does happen, expect this to be a giant, super fight night.

Cowboys Stadium has hosted a fight before - Pacquiao fought Josh Clottey a couple of years ago in front a little more than 51,000. That's not exactly a big fight. Timothy Bradley didn't even win that decision, either.

According to this report by ESPN, that is the type of figure the UFC wants to hit again and believes it can at Cowboys Stadium.

The people I talked to at Cowboys Stadium said how the venue would be used in terms of the actual ring itself is up to the promoters. I can't evision Dana White not using anything but the entire venue. The UFC attracted a crowd of about 55,000 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto in April of 2011.

If Pacquiao/Clottey can draw 51,000, a big-time, heavyweight UFC fight should get that. At least.

 Let's get it on!
