HUDSON OAKS — A Weatherford man died early Saturday when a pickup crashed into his SUV.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers were called to a two-vehicle crash in the 4300 block of Interstate 20 in Hudson Oaks about 6:30 a.m., said Trooper Lonny Haschel, spokesman for DPS.Jerry Escalante, 43, was sitting in a Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, which was stopped on the shoulder apparently due to car trouble, Haschel said.A westbound Chevrolet Silverado traveled off the main lanes of I-20 and struck Escalante's vehicle, Haschel said.The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, a 49-year-old Weatherford man, was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth with non-life-threatening injuries, Haschel said.No charges have been filed, but the crash investigation is ongoing, Haschel said.Have more to add?
