At Olympic Stadium: In what could be the fastest 100 meters ever, Jamaican sprinters Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell and Yohan Blake are expected to race against U.S. hopefuls Tyson Gay, the American record holder, and Justin Gatlin, a former Olympic gold medalist. Former Longhorn Sanya Richards-Ross will have hubby Aaron Ross of the Jacksonville Jaguars rooting for her from the stands as she runs in the 400 meters, trying for her first individual gold medal in her signature event.

At the All England Club: In a replay of the Wimbledon men's singles final, Roger Federer of Switzerland and Andy Murray of Great Britain will each be vying for his first singles gold medal on Centre Court. Federer defeated Murray in four sets for the Wimbledon title on July 8. Serena Williams will have a chance for another gold with sister Venus in doubles. They'll face Andrea Hoavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic. In mixed doubles, Murray will be back on the court with Laura Robson where they'll face top-seeded Victoria Azarenka and Max Mirnyi of Belarus.

At ExCeL Exhibition Center: The inaugural women's boxing tournament begins with several favorites from the U.S., including flyweight Marlen Esparza from Houston.

At Earls Court: The U.S. women's volleyball team continues its march through the tournament -- and possibly its first Olympic gold medal. Unbeaten at 4-0 in pool play, the U.S. has lost only two sets and finishes the preliminary round against Turkey. Attacker Destinee Hooker from San Antonio has been a star for the U.S.

At the Basketball Arena: The U.S. women's basketball team (4-0) completes preliminary-round play against China (3-1). Duncanville's Tamika Catchings and a trio of former UConn players -- Sue Bird, Maya Moore and Diana Taurasi -- lead the way. Quarterfinals begin Tuesday.

At North Greenwich Arena: The U.S. gymnastics team members get another chance for medals in the individual apparatus finals. Today, McKayla Maroney is the favorite to win the gold in the women's vault, and Jacob Dalton is competing in the men's floor exercise.
