Like millions of girls across the nation, my daughter is entranced by the Olympics. She sits with awe watching the Fab Five fly through the air and land lithely on the mat. I love every minute of it. As my friend Robyn posted on Facebook recently, "These girls are physically tough, mentally strong and amazing teammates. Everything I want my girls to be."

And I found the perfect thing to help us cheer on Team USA: a patriotic mani-pedi with polish made in the USA. Piggy Paint is a line of non-toxic nail polish that's safe for kids to wear. It's water-based and free of harsh chemicals. I give it high marks for having no nauseating smell and a lightning-fast dry time.

The Little Miss Firecracker set contains one bottle each of brilliant blue, bright red and white. For optimum Olympics spirit, I recommend alternating the colors on each nail. Because it's water-based, you may need a few coats to avoid chips. Piggy Paint also advises using a blow dryer on warm heat for 1-2 minutes to set the color.

Pick up Piggy Paint at Wal-Mart or order online at www.piggypaint.com. Prices at Wal-Mart range from $3.98 and up. They're a little higher online — the Little Miss Firecracker set retails for $24.99. More than regular polish, yes. But totally worth it to keep my little firecracker's toes safe.
