Day 4 highlights
At North Greenwich Arena: The U.S. women take on rivals Russia, China and Romania for a gold medal in the team gymnastics competition. The U.S., led by Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman, are the reigning world champions, but the team will need Jordyn Wieber to rebound after she failed to qualify for the all-around competition. The U.S. hasn't won a gold in team competition since 1996 at the Atlanta Games, winning silver medals in 2008 and '04. At the All England Club: Wimbledon's Centre Court will feature four marquee second-round matches today -- Andy Roddick vs. Novak Djokovic of Serbia, Venus Williams vs. Aleksandra Wozniak of Canada, Great Britain's medal hope Andy Murray vs. Jarkko Nieminen of Finland and Maria Sharapova of Russia vs. Laura Robson of Great Britain. At the Aquatics Centre: Michael Phelps will be a busy swimmer. He'll compete in the 200m butterfly (he won golds in 2008 and '04 in the event) and the 4x200m freestyle relay with rival and teammate Ryan Lochte. Missy Franklin and Allison Schmitt take on world record holder and 2008 gold medalist Federica Pellegrini of Italy in the 200m freestyle. At Old Trafford: The U.S. women's soccer team, unbeaten with victories over France and Colombia, closes out group play against North Korea on the home field of Manchester United FC. Old Trafford, built in 1910, is the second-largest football/soccer stadium in the United Kingdom, holding more than 75,000 fans. Wembley, which seats 90,000, is the country's biggest stadium.Today's medalsCanoe slalom: Men's canoe single Diving: Women's synchronized 10m platform Equestrian: Team eventing; Individual eventingGymnastics: Women's teamJudo: Women's 63kg; Men's 81kgShooting: Men's skeetSwimming: Women's 200m freestyle; Men's 200m butterfly; Women's 200m individual medley; Men's 4x200m freestyle relay Weightlifting: Women's 63kg; Men's 60kgHave more to add?
