A wrong-way driver on Airport Freeway near downtown Fort Worth caused a multiple-vehicle wreck early Sunday, leaving six people injured and causing one car to roll onto its roof, police said.
Firefighters and police had to dodge a second wrong-way motorist who drove by them on the highway, according to KDFW/Channel 4.Officers responded to the wreck shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday in the 3000 block of Airport Freeway.Witnesses told police that a man in a Lincoln was driving east in the westbound lanes when his car hit a black Dodge. The Dodge rolled over and ended up on its roof, police said.The Lincoln veered into a guardrail and bounced off before hitting a Chevrolet Malibu and a Mazda.Police identified the wrong-way driver as Marcus Deon Burkley, 44, of Grand Prairie.
