Fort Worth City Councilman Sal Espino, a longtime supporter of the Trinity River Vision Authority, has been named to a seat on the organization's board of directors.
Espino was selected by the Tarrant Regional Water District to succeed retiring board member Kathleen Hicks.The authority is responsible for the implementation of the Trinity River Vision master plan. The plan's goal is to connect neighborhoods to the Trinity River corridor with upgraded infrastructure, environmental enhancements, recreational opportunities and special events.Authority Executive Director J.D. Granger praised Espino's knowledge of north-side neighborhoods and his efforts to create jobs in the city, as well as his experience as a member of the Trinity River Vision's tax increment financing board.Espino, an attorney, is a longtime resident of north Fort Worth.
