Irving police have asked for help in identifying a man who investigators described as a "person of interest" in a June 21 rape of a woman at her home.

Authorities released store camera surveillance photographs of the man, who was seen at the store at the same time as the woman before she went home. A photo of a compact truck that the man drove also was released by investigators. The store was at Texas 183 and Esters Road, about two miles from her home.

The attack involved a man who was armed with a knife and forced his way into the home of the 54-year-old woman just seconds after she arrived at her west Irving home.

Investigators believe the man drove away from the store in a white Ford Ranger or Mazda compact truck.

Anyone with information should call Irving police at 972-273-1010.
