A Paradise teen was killed and two other people were injured Monday night in a traffic wreck on a Springtown highway, authorities said Tuesday.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified the victim as Paige Davila, 17. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:17 p.m.

The wreck happened in the 1400 block of north FM 51 in Springtown.

Davila was the driver of the vehicle, according to a spokeswoman at the medical examiner's office.

The teen was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier northbound at high speed when the vehicle veered off the road, hit a speed limit sign and went across the highway. The car then struck a fence and collided with a metal pole, said Springtown Police Chief Ed Crowdis on Tuesday.

Davila's two passengers were taken to a Fort Worth hospital, but their injuries were not life-threatening, Crowdis said.
