Letter writer Jill Capotosto celebrates a court ruling saying the EPA has the power to limit carbon emissions. (See: "Global warming rules," Saturday) I exhale carbon dioxide every time I breathe, so I am one of the "polluters" Capotosto vilifies?

I am not pleased with the decision. It gives the government power to force the environmental extremist religion down our throats.

This is a temporary victory for the extremists, as the news has generally been all bad for them recently: The 1990s computer warming projections were wrong; the Himalayan glaciers aren't melting; the Antarctic ice cover is not declining; the Earth has warmed six times in the last half-million years without the influence of man.

It's so bad the extreme environmentalists have changed their description of the impending calamity to "climate change" from "global warming." Those of us who want to live a modern life don't want the cultists to empower government to take it away from us.
