FORT WORTH -- A 17-year-old Trinity High School student was fatally shot outside a home on Overton Park West after joining two men in robbing the occupants, police said Saturday.
The men, both 21, were in custody Saturday in connection with the killing of Claudia Hidic, who was found dead near the back door of the home about 6:15 p.m. June 28.Hidic was struck in the head when gunfire was exchanged during the robbery in the 3000 block of Overton Park West, police said.Terrance Crumley turned himself in on Saturday after a warrant was issued for his arrest on suspicion of felony murder, police said. Another man, Curtis Fortenberry, was already in custody on unrelated charges when he was arrested.Bail was set at $100,000 each.Police released no further details on Saturday. After the shooting last month, a man at the home called 911 and said he had found a woman face down at his back door. He told police he did not know her.After that, he stopped cooperating with police. He was not identified, and police would say only that he was not a "person of interest" in the shooting.Hidic had just completed her junior year at Trinity High in Euless, said her older sister, Samira Hidic.
