FORT WORTH -- One man was shot and another hurt as he fled a robbery Monday at a Fort Worth game room, police said.
The robbers, described as four men armed with two pistols, a shotgun and a rifle, are believed to be responsible for several other game room robberies, including two last month, Fort Worth robbery Sgt. Joe Loughman said.The latest robbery occurred about 4 a.m. Monday at the Big Ten Arcade, 9861 Saginaw Blvd.Loughman said one of the robbers entered the business, posing as a customer and playing games."After a short period of time, he gets up, pulls a weapon, and he forces the worker to the office to get money out of the safe," Loughman said.The man forced the worker to buzz in three other robbers, who pushed a customer to the ground and stole his wallet and keys.Two more patrons arrived during the robbery. They rang the doorbell and were buzzed in, but they tried to flee when they saw the robbers, Loughman said.One of the fleeing customers was shot in the arm, thigh and groin. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, Loughman said. The other patron fell and injured his shoulder, Loughman said. Both men were hospitalized.The robbers fled in a Ford SUV. Investigators believe that a fifth person was driving.On June 15, four men -- two with pistols and two with long guns -- robbed Game Tech at 4009 E. Loop 820 South.
