A 41-year-old motorcyclist died this morning from injuries suffered Sunday in a collision with another vehicle, police said.

Daymon Smith of Fort Worth had been driving a Honda motorcycle east in the 1600 block of Glen Garden Drive about 6:20 p.m. Sunday when he was struck by a westbound Mitsubishi Outlander turning north onto Riverside Drive.

Smith was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital where he died from injuries at 1:59 a.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.

Sgt. Cynthia Blake said the driver of the Outlander was cited on the scene for failing to yield right-of-way to the motorcycist.

The wreck is under investigation by the traffic investigation unit, she said.
