FORT WORTH -- Authorities must wait on toxicology results to determine the cause of death of a 20-year-old man whose body was discovered last week after witnesses told police they saw another man loading it into an SUV.
It could take six to eight weeks before a ruling is made in the death of Stoney Stubbs, a 2010 graduate of All Saints' Episcopal School in Fort Worth.Police received a report of a dead person in the 11000 block of Blue Creek Drive on Thursday evening.Witnesses told officers they saw a man trying to load Stubbs' body into a vehicle and confronted him. The man fled.Stubbs' body was still there when police arrived.Police said they have identified the man who fled, but no one had been arrested as of late Sun-day.Born in Fort Worth, Stubbs was an athlete who competed in baseball, basketball, football and rodeo, according to a Star-Telegram obituary. Stubbs attended Weatherford College, where he was on the rodeo team.
