The Rangers announced Tuesday afternoon that right-hander Colby Lewis has been placed on the 15-day disabled with tendinitis in his right forearm. Scott Feldman moves back to the rotation, and Martin Perez has been recalled and will be in the bullpen.
Saturday's starter is TBD. It's a spot that Justin Grimm could occupy, but the Rangers might be rethinking that after he allowed six runs in one-plus innings Monday. If the Rangers don't need a long man between over the next few days, Perez could slide into the rotation.Lewis pitched Saturday, allowing eight runs in four innings to Colorado. This will be his first DL stint since returning from Japan two years ago.-- Jeff WilsonHave more to add? News tip? Tell us
