A man thought to be in his early 40s was found dead after firefighters from several departments extinguished a fire at a home in unincorporated Parker County late Sunday, officials said

Firefighters were alerted to a structure fire in the 1600 block of West Bill B Road near Azle about 10:45 p.m., according to the Parker County Sheriff's Department.

Initially, there was some confusion about which fire department was responsible for the area, which is between Reno and Azle, Reno fire Capt. Jeremy Landers said. The twists and turns of the road to the home also made it difficult for firefighters to reach it quickly, he said.

The man had not been identified and the cause of the fire had not been determined Monday, a Parker County official said.
