Arlington police are investigating the stabbing death of a woman discovered inside her apartment Saturday and have a suspect in custody.
Police were called about noon to a disturbance in the 400 block of East Pioneer Parkway and found the woman, who police say is in her 60s.The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not yet released her name or cause of death.Arlington Police spokeswoman Tiara Ellis Richard said when officers arrived at the apartment complex they found multiple family members of the dead woman and friends who told police the man who stabbed her is a family member who left the scene.Officers searched the area and found the suspect a few blocks away from the location.Liban Jama was arrested on suspicion of murder and was being held in Arlington Jail Saturday with bail set at $150,000.Homicide detectives are investigating.Anyone with information is asked to call Arlington Police Detective Lisa Wade 817 459-5325, or Crime Stoppers at (817) 469-8477.
