One dead, one injured in Fort Worth wreck

Fort Worth police are investigating a fatal wreck that occurred on the city’s west side early Saturday.

At 7:27 a.m., police were dispatched to Camp Bowie West and Diamond Bar Trail, responding to a single-vehicle wreck.

Officer Sharron Neal, police spokeswoman, said an early investigation revealed the vehicle left the roadway, struck a guard rail and landed in an embankment.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another person is reported to be in critical condition.

The name of the deceased has not yet been released from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
