The Johnson County Sheriffs office said the man and woman whose bodies were found in a home late Wednesday were shot to death.
Sheriff Bob Alford declined to say how the victims, who were husband and wife, were shot.Alford said that the deaths are considered homicides. The names of the victims, who were 60 and 62 years old, are not being released because the extended family has not been notified."This is a very big family scattered across several states," he said. Some relatives live as far away as Arizona and Massachusetts, he said.Lt. Tim Jones, a spokesman for the sheriff's department, specifically said that "this is not a murder-suicide."Deputies were dispatched to the residence at about 2:30 p.m Wednesday. in the 9900 block of County Road 915 in the Godley area. They had gone to the house after a call was received requesting a welfare check on the residents, the sheriff's office reported.Elizabeth Campbell, 817-390-7696
