NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- The Texas Brahmas needed a big goal against a team they had dominated for most of the season and got one from forward Adam Hogg.

Hogg's game-winner came with 51 seconds remaining in the first overtime period, as he lifted the Brahmas (20-15-7) to a 2-1 victory over the Laredo Bucks (16-23-0) at NYTEX Sports Centre.

Hogg scored twice -- his 10th and 11th goals of the season -- first giving Texas a 1-0 lead at 6:32 in the first period on assists by Chad Woollard and Andrew Lackner. Woollard also assisted on Hogg's overtime goal, running his season assist total to 25.

Gregg Eskedjian also assisted on Hogg's second goal after no goals or assists in his nine previous games with the Brahmas.

Laredo tied the game at 1-1 on Matt R. Pierce's goal at 5:46 in the third period. The Bucks dug in from there defensively, allowing just two Brahmas shots on goal the rest of regulation.

Texas goalie Steve Silverthorn saved 18 of 19 Laredo shots. Torrie Jung saved 24 of 26 for Laredo, which is 2-5 against Texas this season. The Brahmas' defense allowed five Laredo shots in the game's final 10:46.
