Cheers: To a thoughtful Wedgwood neighbor who dropped off fudge to thank our Marine for his service while he was home in October. We all had good intentions to thank her, however, we lost the note. Your kindness was very much appreciated!

-- Michelle Ingram, Fort Worth

Jeers: To those who say, "When we take our country back ..." Who has taken the country from you? Our elected government is the free choice of your fellow citizens. It's still your country, just under different management.

-- Marty Davis, Keller

Cheers: To Hurst resident Louis Marks for bringing Spring Creek Barbeque to the fire station for our Christmas dinner. He has done so for the past several years and it is greatly appreciated. The orange Crush goes down nicely with the ribs, chicken, and sausage. Thanks!

-- Andrew Knight, Hurst Fire Station 3, Hurst

Cheers: To Tim Madigan, whose outstanding writing is very much enjoyed. Keep up the good work.

-- Jerry Musselman, Bedford

Cheers: To the person who turned in a black duffel bag to the TCU Library. In it were irreplaceable photos, some almost 100 years old. We got the bag back just in time for Christmas. What a wonderful Christmas you made for our family. Thank you.

-- Melanie and Sandy Peoples,

Fort Worth

Jeers: To a major electronics retailer that refused to honor its price match guarantee. I brought in an ad from another retailer and was initially told it was not in their competition area. When I proved it was, they said the price was below their cost, so they wouldn't match it.

-- Wayne Elliott, Azle
