Take your family to honor the men and women who have served in the armed forces at one of these DFW area events:

Dallas Veterans Day Parade: Show your appreciation to the military veterans of all of our nation’s armed forces. This year's theme is "Remembering Pearl Harbor."
Good to know: Military vehicles and equipment, veterans organizations, civic and corporate displays will be available for viewing at 9:30 a.m. in front of City Hall and will be dismantled after the parade.
Recommended ages: All
When: 11 a.m. Friday, November 11
Where: The parade will begin at Reunion Arena, proceed north on Houston Street, east on Main Street, south on Ervay Street, west on Young Street, south on Akard Street and pass in review in front of City Hall, 500 Marilla Street Dallas, TX 75201

Veterans Day Program:  The Veterans Affairs Department and the Texas National Cemetery Foundation will host this program
that will include remarks by Naval Air Station Fort Worth Command Master Chief Ellen Zubke, a cannon salute by the 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines and a flyover by the Air Force Reserve’s 457th Fighter Squadron.

A Salute to Our Veterans: Veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and current conflicts will be in the lobby to share their stories and answer questions. The Military Museum of Ft. Worth will have a display of authentic military uniforms & memorabilia. At 7 p.m., Taps ‘n Tunes Productions will present a lively USO show of song & dance.
Good to know: Admission and parking are free but a reservation is required. Call 817-268-0388 to reserve your seat.

Veterans Day Parade: The Tarrant County Veterans Council is conducting its annual parade honoring military veterans.
Recommended ages: All
When: 10 a.m., Saturday, November 12
Where: The parade will begin at LaGrave Field, 301 NE 6th Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76164, head south on Main Street into downtown and back.

Frisco Community Parade: The parade, which honors veterans and local heroes, features floats, school marching bands, high school football teams, cheerleaders, scouts, civic organizations, youth sports teams, Frisco-based professional sports teams and local businesses. Come early, bring your chairs and stake your claim to sidewalk space.
Good to know: Proceeds from the parade entry fees support student scholarships distributed through the Frisco Education Foundation.

Where: Parade starts at the southeast corner of Pizza Hut Park and goes eastbound down Main Street to downtown Frisco
