FORT WORTH — A teacher accused of engaging in an improper relationship with a student during a field trip to Fort Worth turned herself into police today.
Tina McCann, a former marketing instructor and marketing club adviser at Austin's Lake Travis High School, came to Fort Worth to turn herself in and was released after posting a $10,000 bond, a police spokesman said.McCann resigned her teaching position on May 12 after allegations were made that she and a student were involved in inappropriate behavior at a Fort Worth motel in February. McCann was placed on administrative leave May 5, and taught business and marketing classes for four years. The student was not listed as a juvenile, according to Travis County authorities.
